Convenient State-of-the-Art Crowns
You deserve the very best that dentistry has to offer. Dr. Megan pursues many hours of continuing education to ensure that we improve your oral health with state-of-the-art treatments and the most updated technology and materials.
CEREC one-day crowns are a fantastic development in dental technology. You don't have to worry about making time for multiple appointments or putting up with the inconvenience of a temporary crown. Now, using CEREC technology, we can create a fully customized crown at our Summerville, SC dental office while you wait!
The process of placing a CEREC crown involves shaping your tooth to prepare it for the restoration. Next, we take a digital image of the prepared tooth so we can create a 3-D model of your tooth. This model is used to construct your new crown.
Your CEREC crown is then created right here in our office while you relax. We craft your new crown out of porcelain, a material that’s stain resistant and durable. During the process, we carefully match the shade of your new crown to your surrounding natural teeth. Finally, we adjust the crown for a perfect fit, polish it, and bond it securely to your tooth.
Replace Missing Teeth with CEREC Bridges
Dental bridges are designed to restore the function and appearance that are lost when you lose a tooth. A bridge is designed with an artificial tooth suspended between two crowns that are secured by adjacent teeth.
The same basic process we use for crowns can also be used to create your new bridge. However, the 3-D images are sent to an outside lab that will create your custom CEREC bridge with minimal waiting time.
